Add Resource
Resources refer to the actual files, such as documents and images for example, that can be used as part of your stories and/or dispatches. When a resource is uploaded to Connect, it can be used in multiple stories and dispatches. An unlimited number of resources can be uploaded to Connect, using these steps: - Select Add Resource under Resources in the main navigation panel
- Insert the title or name of your resource, as it will appear in the library
- Click on the Browse button to locate the desired resource
- Enter additional details, notably
- Type - the type field defines whether the resource is a file, image, link and more. This field will automatically be populated, based on the type of file you upload. For example, files with a JPEG, GIF or PNG extension will instantly default to an image file type
- Owner - usually refers to the individual responsible for uploading the resource. This defaults to the user currently logged into Connect, but can be altered to include any active staff member
- Description - an optional field used to describe the resource you are uploading
- Folder - indicates the folder that the resource will be placed under
- Select the save icon, after which the resource is uploaded and is placed in the correct folder
