Add Story
Connect provides users with the ability to create stories, and record them in the story archive for later use in a dispatch, or in multiple dispatches. To add a story, follow these steps:
- Either
a. Select Add under Stories in the main navigation panel b. Click on New Story on the Connect Dashboard - Enter the details of your story, notably
- Title - the name of the story or news item, which will be displayed in your dispatch(es)
- Author - the owner or creator of the story
- Teaser - the simple, catchy content to encourage recipients to read the entire story
- Category - the category option enables you to define the target recipients for the story. Multiple categories can be selected by holding the 'Ctrl' button on your keyboard, and selecting the desired categories. Alternatively, this field can be left blank if you do not wish to assiated a story to a subscriber category
- Type - the class of the story. This drop-down option is for basic categorisation purposes, to ensure that the story archive is organised, and that stories can be searched based on their type
- Status - defines whether the story is active or inactive. Active stories are those that can be retrieved in searches, and be added to your dispatch(es)
- Content - the body of the news story
- Attach an existing image to the story, or add a new image to accompany your story, and be included in the designated area (optional)
- Once you are happy with the content of your story, simply select the Save Story Option. The new story can now be used as part of your dispatch
